DESCRIPTION
Epoxy.com Product #449 Membrane Waterproofing and Reinforced Membrane Waterproofing
is a two-component, modified elastomeric material. After mixing and curing
it forms a tough, flexible waterproof membrane.
Epoxy.com Product #449 Membrane is applied to horizontal
surfaces of concrete, steel or wood to prevent penetration of moisture and
other deleterious substances. Typical applications are between slab waterproofing above and below grade.
Epoxy.com Product #449 may be applied in one coat up to 30
mil thickness on vertical surfaces without sag.
ADVANTAGES:
Epoxy.com Product #449 when used with inorganic fiber reinforcement, provides a puncture and tear
resistant shield to bridge construction joints and fine cracks.

MIXING:
Combine equal amounts of Components A and B in clean container. Mix 2 -
3 minutes with low speed drill and an Epoxy.com Mixing Paddle. Apply immediately after mixing.
APPLICATION:
Prior to applying membrane, the surface to receive membrane must be dry, clean
and sound, all construction joints and cracks that are sizable must be bridged with fiberglass reinforcing cloth.
To produce a membrane, apply by brush, roller, spray or squeegee. For best results, two coats are recommended.
If reinforced cloth is used, it shall be embedded in the first coat of membrane while it still in a
liquid state. A grooved aluminum or plastic roller can be used for this purpose. After the first coat of membrane and
reinforcement has become tack-free, a second coat of membrane shall be applied.

LIMITATIONS:
Epoxy.com Product #449 has an odor. If used indoors where such odor might be objectionable, it is recommended that
the material is tested before use to determine the appropriateness of its use. Material temperature at
time of mixing must be a minimum of 60°F (16°C), and surfaces to receive material must be a minimum of
40°F (4°C).
Once the container has been opened, the entire contents should be used as resealing may cause moisture,
contamination and skinning. When used in confined areas, good ventilation must be provided.
Damp surfaces could be detrimental to the performance of Epoxy.com Product #449.
PACKAGING:
Epoxy.com Product #449 is packaged in 2-gallon (7.57 liter) and 10- gallon (37.85 liter) units.
Epoxy.com Product #449 Primer for metal surfaces is available in 1-quart
(.946 liter), 1-gallon (3.785 liter), and 5-gallon containers (18.925 liters).
CAUTION:
Epoxy.com Product #449 contain coal tar and organic isocyanates.
These are considered irritants. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapors. Contact with skin
or eyes must be avoided. Wear protective clothing, gloves and/or protective cream and goggles.
Wash thoroughly with soap and water or a waterless skin cleaner prior to smoking
or eating. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water and contact a physician immediately.

for the period of time as follows: Epoxies, Product #315, Product #315BC, and
Product #316 one (1) year; Polyesters, Methyl Methacrylates (normal) two (2)
months and Polyurethanes Four (4) months; Power Tools and Equipment 90
days; Vinyl Esters, High Molecular Weight Methacrylates (HMMA) and all
other resins (not specifically mentioned above) 30 days; hand tools (non-power
tools) 30 days. ESI warrants that its products will be free of
manufacturing defects and will be in conformity with published specifications
when handled, stored, mixed and applied in accordance with recommendations of
ESI. If any product fails to meet this warranty, the liability of ESI will be
limited to replacement of any non-conforming material if notice of such
non-conformity is given to ESI within the warranty period for the material (as
indicated above), or within 1 year of the delivery of materials (whichever is
sooner). ESI may in its discretion refund the price received by ESI in lieu of
replacing the material. No customer, distributor, or representative of ESI is
authorized to change or modify the published specifications of this warranty in
any way. No one is authorized to make oral warranties on behalf of ESI. In order
to obtain replacement or refund the customer must provide written notice
containing full details of the non-conformity. ESI reserves the right to inspect
the non-conforming material prior to replacement. EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESSED
WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
