Epoxy Quartz Seamless Flooring

Double Broadcast Installation Method, Epoxy.com Product #15


The procedure for installing a double broadcast Epoxy.com Product #15 as a Seamless Epoxy Color Quartz Flooring System over concrete is very simple:

  1. Properly prepare the substrate www.epoxy.com/surfaceprep.aspx.   You cannot have a quality installation of Epoxy Seamless Flooring without quality surface preparation.
  2. Primer:
    1. If you cannot remove all the oil, use Epoxy.com Product #201  www.epoxy.com/201.htm - Oil Stop Primer.  Apply at a rate of 200-320 SF per gallon.  Allow to cure overnight.
    2. If you have a  moisture vapor transmission Problems, use Epoxy.com Product #830 www.epoxy.com/830.aspx - Anti-Moisture Primer at a rate of applied in a single coat of 12 mils (130 sq ft. per gallon) when relative humidity readings are below 95% or MVT readings are below 12# per 1000 sq ft./24 hrs. Higher readings require consultation with Epoxy.com Technical Services and may require a second coat of Epoxy.com Product #830 of 10 mils (160 sq ft. per gallon).Allow to cure overnight.
    3. For general purpose primer you can use Epoxy.com Product #15 at a rate of 250 SF per gallon. Allow to cure overnight.
  3. Mixing small batches at a time apply Epoxy.com Product #15 Seamless Epoxy Quartz Flooring Resin at a rate of 100 sq ft per gallon.  Broadcast the Product #15 Seamless Epoxy Quart Flooring Resin with Epoxy.com Product #68 Seamless Epoxy Flooring Colored Quartz Aggregate - http://www.epoxy.com/68.htm -to saturation immediately at the end of each batch.  This will require about 0.4 lbs of Epoxy.com Seamless Epoxy Flooring Colored Quartz Aggregate per SF. Be sure to leave a wet edge to roll the next batch up against.  Continue this as you work your way across the floor.  Allow to cure 6-8 hours (typically overnight).
  4. Sweep and vacuum off all loose Epoxy.com Product #68 Seamless Epoxy Colored Quartz Flooring Aggregate. Mix small batches of Epoxy.com Product #15 Seamless Clear Epoxy Quartz Flooring Resin and apply it with Squeegee at a rate of 80-90 SF per gallon.  Broadcasting immediately after each batch with Epoxy.com Product #68 Seamless Epoxy Colored Quartz Flooring Aggregate - http://www.epoxy.com/68.htm -to saturation at the end of each batch.  This will require about 0.5 of Epoxy.com Product #68 Seamless Epoxy Colored Quartz Flooring Aggregate per SF. Be sure to leave a wet edge to roll the next batch up against.  Continue this as you work your way across the floor.  Allow to cure 6-8 hours (typically overnight).
  5. Sweep and vacuum off all loose Epoxy.com Product #68 Seamless Epoxy Colored Quartz Flooring Aggregate. Mix small batches of Epoxy.com Product #15 Clear Epoxy Seamless Flooring Resin and apply it with Squeegee at a rate of 80-90 SF per gallon.   Continue this as you work your way across the floor.  Allow to cure 6-8 hours (typically overnight).
  6. If a smoother surface is required you can add addition coat(s) of Epoxy.com Product #15 Seamless  Clear Epoxy Flooring Resin, or optionally Epoxy.com Product #402 -www.epoxy.com/402.htm - 2-Component Chemical Resistant Aliphatic Polyurethane Seamless Flooring Resin with a roller.

If any product fails to meet this warranty, the liability of Epoxy.com will be limited to replacement of any non-conforming material if notice of such non-conformity is given to Epoxy.com within the warranty period for the material (as indicated above), or within 1 year of the delivery of materials (whichever is sooner). Epoxy.com may in its discretion refund the price received by Epoxy.com in lieu of replacing the material. No customer, distributor, or representative of Epoxy.com is authorized to change or modify the published specifications of this warranty in any way. No one is authorized to make oral warranties on behalf of Epoxy.com. In order to obtain replacement or refund the customer must provide written notice containing full details of the non-conformity. Epoxy.com reserves the right to inspect the non-conforming material prior to replacement. Many of our products are made on an individual order basis.   Unless authorized in writing by Epoxy.com a division of Epoxy Systems, Inc. in writing before the material is made, there are no returns on items purchased from us, once the order has been processed, and the material made. In the event of authorized returns a restocking charge will be charged in the amount of 30% of the value of the material returned or $150 whichever is greater.  No returns on non-list priced items.  All Returns are for merchandise (store) credit only, no cash or credit card credits.  In the event of a return, buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping and handling in both directions.
