Epoxy.com Product #2 Cold Cure Chemical Resistant Epoxy Coating a two component, 100% solids, Zero "0" VOC epoxy chemical resistant coating specially formulated for cold temperature applications. 

Epoxy.com Product #2 Cold Temperature Cure Chemical Resistant  Epoxy Coating  is often used in coolers and food preparation areas that require low temperature epoxy coating installation is required. Epoxy.com Product #2 Cold Temperature Cure Chemical Resistant Epoxy Coating is also used for room temperature installations where a super-fast-cure is required to minimize turn around time.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface to receive Epoxy.com Product #2 Chemical Resistant Epoxy Coating must be clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, or mechanical abrasion. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil free blast immediately prior to application. See Epoxy.com' Surface Preparation Guide form more details.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Temperature of Epoxy.com Product #2 Chemical Resistant Epoxy Coating must be 50° F or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Mix two parts by volume of Part A with one part by volume of Part B for three minutes with a low speed electric drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle.

APPLICATION

Epoxy.com Product #899 Cold Cure Primer is recommended for concrete surfaces. Apply Epoxy.com Product #2 Cold Temperature Cure Chemical Resistant Epoxy Coating with a roller, brush, or spray equipment. Two coats are recommended. Thickness per coat should be 7-10 mils. Seven days cure time is required to reach maximum chemical resistance.  For more information before installing please see Epoxy.com  installation tips at https://www.epoxy.com/install.htm.

LIMITATIONS

Refer to Epoxy.com Product #2 Cold Temperature Cured Chemical Resistant Epoxy Coating Chemical Resistance Chart for field tested results of common industrial chemicals that Product #2 has been exposed to. New concrete should be at least 28 days old. Temperature of substrate must be above 50° F. DO NOT thin.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber gloves.

CLEANING

All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels. Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.

APPLICATION PROPERTIES at 77° F

Mix Ratio 2:1 By Volume
Viscosity (mixed) 1000-1800 CPS
Pot Life (200 gr.) 15 minutes @ 75° F.
Tack Free to Touch 2-3 hours @ 75° F; 14-16 hours @ 35° F.
Recoat 3-4 hours @ 75° F; 14-16 hours @ 35° F.
Light Traffic5-6 hours @ 75° F; 24 hours @ 35° F.
Final Cure 5 Days
