SPECIFICATION:Epoxy.com Product# #900 Polymeric Joint Sealants meets the following specifications:
National Bureau of Standards and GSA TT-S-0227E (1970) * * Defers test specification to ASTM C-920-95 SURFACE PREPARATION:Joint interface must be clean, dry, and free from oils, loose mortar, laitance, waterproofing, and other contaminants. A thorough grinding, sandblasting, or solvent cleaning may be required to expose clean, sound surfaces. Priming is not normally required with common building materials. However, an instance may occur where priming is necessary for certain substrates or for water immersion, and Epoxy.com Product #950 Sealant Primer should be used. The Product #900 must be applied within 8 hours after priming. Re-prime if time limit has expired. MIXING:Mix "A" and "B" Components with a slow speed mechanical mixer for 3 minutes. Use Product #900 with caulking gun or mechanical equipment. If you need a pourable product use Epoxy.com Product #901. APPLICATION:Apply immediately after mixing into properly sized joints. Backer Rod may be required. Can be applied with a trowel, putty knife, auto-body filler squeegee, concrete grout bag, bulk caulking gun, or similar devices. PRIMERIf a primer is required use Epoxy.com Product #950 Joint Sealant Primer. Product #950 Joint Sealant Primer is a one component moisture curing primer formulated to improve adhesion of our Epoxy.com Joint Sealants. Epoxy.com Product #950 Joint Sealant Primer is easy to use and provides extra protection in applications where standing water or submersion will be present. Epoxy.com Product #950 Joint Sealant Primer acts to increase bond between organic and inorganic interfaces, binding together weak areas and creating a tough surface.
LIMITATIONS:Do not install in damp or wet joints. Temperature should be above 40°F (4.4°C) at time of application to assure proper curing. CAUTION:Repeated or prolonged contact with skin should be avoided; protective gloves should be worn as a precaution.
