EpoxySystems' Product #8100 Epoxy Systems’ Under Water Mortar DESCRIPTION PRODUCT #8100 Underwater Mortar is a non-water separable grout or concrete that requires merely the addition of potable water at the job site and is mixed to the desired consistency. It may then be pumped or poured in water without any wash-out (separation) of the cement paste from other constituents.ADVANTAGES PRODUCT #8100 Underwater Mortar offers great economy when compared to two-component grouting materials. PRODUCT #8100 Underwater Mortar is ready-to-use; just mix with potable water to the desired consistency. PRODUCT #8100 does not require the careful and cumbersome placement of tremie pipes and the continual concern with the maintenance (during placement operations) of the tremie seal required with the use of conventional portland cement mortars or grouts. PRODUCT #8100 can be pumped or poured in confined or unconfined areas.PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Co lor Concrete GrayAge at Test Compressive Strength (ASTM C-109) 24 hours 1,500 psi (10.34 MPa) 3 days 2,000 psi (13.79 MPa) 7 days 3,000 psi (20.68 MPa) 28 days 5,000 psi (34.47 MPa) Length Change ASTM C-157 0 HOW TO USE All deteriorated concrete should be removed by waterblasting or chipping to sound concrete. PRODUCT #8100 Underwater Mortar can be mixed with up to 1.5 gallons (5.3 L) of water per 50 lb. (23 kg.) bag, and will produce an extremely flowable, yet non-shrinking grout. Be sure temperature after mixing is no less than 50 F. COVERAGE Each 50 lb. (23 kg.) bag will yield approximately .40 cu. ft. (11,326 cm3) of grouting mortar at a pourable consistency. LIMITATIONS PRODUCT #8100 Underwater Mortar should not be used at temperatures below 40 F.CAUTION: Contains Portland Cement and Silica Sand. Cement powder or freshly mixed concrete, grout or mortar may cause skin injury. Avoid contact with skin; wash exposed areas promptly with water.
