Epoxy.com Product #27
Slow Setting Mortar Pack
DESCRIPTION
Epoxy.com Product #27 Grout/Mortar Pack is a
preproportioned 100% solids
epoxy resin pack and a blend of special aggregate. The pot life
of Product #27 is 3 times longer than ordinary epoxy
packs; while curing the entire pack, a low exotherm is produced.
ADVANTAGES
- Premeasured to avoid waste while mixing and placing.
- Moisture insensitive before and after cure.
- Pourable viscosity - flows easily, self levels in forms.
- Low heat build-up - low exothermic heat development permits placement up to 10 inches thick.
- High ultimate compressive strength
- High ultimate Modulus of Elasticity - 2.7 X 106 psi
- No curling or shearing away from substrate (concrete, steel
or wood).
WHERE TO USE
Use in areas where long pot life and extended working time are
required due to higher than normal temperatures or when placement of an epoxy
grout is slow.

MIXING
Pour Component 'A' into Component 'B'. Mix 2 to 3 minutes. Pour
mixed material into container large enough to accommodate 77 lbs. of filler and
resin. Mix slowly for 3 to 5 minutes until homogeneous mix, gray in color,
is achieved.
Note: Do not thin. Solvents will prevent proper cure.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Substrate must be clean and sound. Remove all laitance, oil, and
grease by sandblasting, wire brushing, or bush hammering. When used on
steel, remove mill scale, rust or any other contaminants and wipe surface clean
with approved metal
cleaning solvent.
Patching: Clean out defective area and patch
with Epoxy.com Product #27 and allow to cure before put into use.
Forming: Epoxy.com Product #27 is a self-leveling
material. Seal forms to
prevent seepage. Wax inside of forms or use bond-breaking liner
to prevent
adhesion of grout to form.
APPLICATION
Epoxy.com Product #27 may be placed in single or multiple lifts up
to 10 inches
thick. Apply at ambient temperatures as low as 50°F. Exposure to
elevated
temperatures for prolonged periods is not recommended. (Use
Epoxy.com
Product #641LV Heat
Resistant Grout up to 400°F).
